Geocache Description:

Go to the listed coordinates.

Located in Grandi, the outdoor art piece "Þúfa" stands on a small cape. A popular destination on walking tours among locals and visitors alike, Þúfa is slowly but surely becoming a Reykjavík landmark.

Designed by artist Ólöf Nordal, Þúfa references simpler times. On top of the small hill is shed for wind-drying fish, an old way of getting by on this island in the North-Atlantic. According to the artist, Þúfa is a place for inner peace and meditation within the city.

Not only is the artwork interesting, but the spot offers great views of Harpa, the surrounding mountains and Faxaflói Bay. You can follow a spiralling pathway to the top for an even better view.

You're probably wondering how to pronounce Þúfa, well here it is: "TH-OO-FHA"

In this Cache there is a stamp like usual in letterboxhybrids. Please leave the stamp in the box.

Cache is in coordinates: N 64° 09.X59 W 021° 56.Y11,
where X is number of windows in the shed and Y is number of wooden benches around the shed.

In your log you may write me a letter about your Reykjavik.

Enjoy your visit!

11.05.2020:
Unfortunately the stamp is gone away.
I am now unable to visit this place for a while.
If you have a small-sized sparebox and a stamp, feel free to change the current cachebox for that.
The cache is in good condition, only the stamp is missing and maybe the box too small for a stamp.
