Plac Słoneczny - to jeden z najładniejszych zakątków Żoliborza. Okrągły plac otoczony niskimi szeregowymi domami w stylu dworkowym powstał w latach 1922-25.
Plac tworzy formę ronda, otaczają go niskie szeregowe domy. Pierwotnie planowano, by tworzył duży zegar słoneczny, stąd też jego nazwa. Zamysł był wspaniały: W 1922-5 Antoni Jawornicki i Kazimierz Tołłoczko zaprojektował plac na Żoliborzu Oficerskim, w miejscu, gdzie najwyżsi rangą żołnierze mieli otrzymać miejsce na domy. Na środku placu miało stanąć wysokie drzewo, najlepiej topola, i służyć jako zegar słoneczny - stąd też nazwa. Kolejne godziny miały wyznaczać domy wokół placu - powinno być ich 12. Same domy powstały wg proj. Romualda Gutta i Adolfa Świerczyńskiego ok. 1925. Z tą różnicą, że domów powstało 10, zamiast 12 - pierwszy błąd. Drugim było posadzenie zamiast topoli klonu srebrzystego, który, jak widać na zdjęciu, zupełnie nie jest smukły i strzelisty i godziny nie pokaże. I tak godzin tylko 10...
Segment przy placu Słonecznym 6 wpisany jest do rejestru zabytków. Rosnący po środku placu klon srebrzysty (Acer sacharinum) jest pomnikiem przyrody.

Square Solar segment 6 is entered in the register of monuments. Growing in the middle of the square silver maple (Acer sacharinum) is a monument of nature.
