[PL]W 1920 roku w miejscu dawnej parowej cegielni, która należała do Louisa Bolmanna, powstała jedna z najnowocześniejszych wówczas w kraju papiernia. Była to Bydgoska Fabryka Papieru Spółka Akcyjna, w której większość kapitału należała wciąż do obywateli niemieckich. Przedsiębiorstwo to zostało upaństwowione po II wojnie światowej i działało do lat 90. XX wieku (od 1953 roku jako Bydgoskie Zakłady Papiernicze). Obecnie teren po byłej papierni pokryty jest gruzem, chociaż jeszcze można zobaczyć ruiny kilku budynków. W przyszłości na obszarze starej papierni wybudowane ma być nowe osiedle mieszkaniowe.

[EN]Before 1920, in this place was a steam brick factory which belonged to Louisa Bolmann. But in 1920 the brick factory was demolished and one of the most modern paper factory in Poland was constructed here. The paper factory became a public company after the World War II and it was closed down in 90’s of the 20th century. Today, the area is full of ruins and rubbles.
In 1920, in the place of the former steam brickyard, which belonged to Louis Bolmann, one of the most modern paper mills in the country was established at that time. It was the Bydgoska Fabryka Papieru Spółka Akcyjna, in which the majority of the capital still belonged to German citizens. This enterprise was nationalized after World War II and operated until the 1990s (since 1953 as Bydgoskie Zakłady Papiernicze). Currently, the area of the former paper mill is covered with rubble, although you can still see the ruins of several buildings. In the future, a new housing estate is to be built on the site of the old paper mill.
