Geocache Description:

This historically significant location is an old tunnel under the railroad tracks that was used by the farmers of Bourne Farm. They would use this tunnel to get their cows from one pasture to the other. As you are looing for the cache imagine what it must have been like to be under there while a steam engine was trundling overhead. Impresive engineering.

Hop on your bikes for this cache. Start at either end of the Shining See Bike Path and enjoy the splendid views of the cranberry bogs and saltwater marshes. Once you get close, park your bikes on the side of the path, so as not to cause any traffic jams. Follow the foot path that leads off on the west side of the bike path. As you walk down the rise, look to your left and you will see a narrow stone tunnel passing under the bike path. Walk through the tunnel. The cache will be on the other side in the wall. This plastic cache box was given to me by my son for Fathers Day 2014.
