Part of the Icelandic Filming Location Geotrail. This cache is hidden at one of the filming locations of Hrafninn flýgur (The Raven Flies) from 1984.
Hrafninn flýgur was directed by Hrafn Gunnlaugsson. It's a revenge viking film. The cache is hidden in Drangshlíð, which served as the home of Eiríkur in the film. There are three more notible filming locations, two of them very near; Dyrhólaey a bit east of Drangshlíð and then Skiphellir, again further east. Skiphellir served as the home of Þór. The forth location is Kleifarvatn in Reykjanesskagi that served as a fjord when Gestur was coming from Ireland.
There are some old houses built into the rock. Please don't go into them since they are on the brink of collapsing.
If you want, from the left side of the rock you are able to walk up the rock along a thin trail to a half-cave. If you have seen the movie you will remember that Gestur stood there at a dramatic scene. But please take care when climbing there, it's not for people scared of heights. I uploaded a picture that explains how to get up there. And don't mind the birds, they don't mind you :) There is no need to climb for the cache, since it's at ground level.
