Wodospad:
Na poludniowy wschód od Ciezkowic znajduja sie
liczne ciekawe formy skalne powstale w piaskowcach ciezkowickich.
Jedna z nich jest Wodospad Ciezkowicki, znajdujacy sie na koncu
waskiego jaru noszacego nazwe Wawóz Czarownic. Sam wodospad ma ok
10 m wysokosci a ilosc spadajacej z niego wody jest uzalezniona od
opadów atmosferycznych. Jar ma natomiast ok 40 m dlugosci a
wysokosc scian skalnych siega tam 15 m.
Z miejscem tym zwiazane sa liczne legendy. Jedna z nich mówi, ze
wodospad to lzy dziewczyny, która szukala schronienia w znajdujacym
sie tu niegdys miescie przed swym przesladowca - panem z Roznowa,
zostala jednak wydana w zamian za pobliska wies Kasna. W chwili gdy
sie to stalo, miasto zostalo zamienione w kamien - stad nazwa
pobliskich skal "Skamieniale Miasto". Inne legendy mówia o
przebywajacych w tym rejonie czarownicach - stad nazwa "Wawóz
Czarownic". Jeszcze inne legendy wspominaja o ukrywajacych sie w
tym miejscu zbójcach.

The waterfall:
South-east from Ciezkowice there are many
intersting natural rock features made out of sandstone. One of
these is Ciezkowicki Waterfall, located at the end of a narrow
ravine called Wawóz Czarownic (Gully of Witches). The waterfall is
about 10 m high and the amount of water flowing depends on the
rainfall. The ravine is 40 m long and its walls reach up to 15 m in
height.
There are many legends referring to this place. One of these says,
that the waterfall is the flow of tears of a girl who was looking
for a shelter in a town nearby. She was running away from her
persecutor - the lord of Roznów. She did not get the shelter,
instead, she was traded for a neighbouring village of Kasina. At
that exact moment when people traded her, the town turned into
rocks - hence the name of this place "Skamieniale Miasto"
("Petrified City"). Another legend mentions witches staying in this
area, hence the name "Gully of Witches". In other stories brigands
hiding in the local forests are mentioned.
