Jezioro Martwe (Jezioro Martwa Dziwna, Ślepe Jezioro) to dawne ujście rzeki Dziwny do Bałtyku. Powstało w wyniku działalności człowieka. Pod koniec XIX wieku Prusacy przekopali wpół Mierzeję Dziwnowską, tworząc w ten sposób nowy, szeroki tor wodny. Stare ujście Dziwny zamknięto wałami ziemnymi, w efekcie czego powstało jezioro.
Nazwa jeziorka jest bardzo niefortunna, gdyż występuje tu wiele prawnie chronionych gatunków fauny (kormoran, nur czarnoszyi, kania ruda, sokół wędrowny, bielik, mewa biała, rybitwa czubata, puchacz) i flory (mikołajek nadmorski, wiciokrzew pomorski, rokitnik pospolity). I wiele, wiele innych…
Między Bałtykiem a Martwą Dziwną przebiega piękna ścieżka, będąca częścia Europejskiego długodystansowego szlaku pieszego oznaczonego symbolem E9 (szlak czerwony) – Portugalia - Estonia.
Skrytka znajduje się między szlakiem, a brzegiem jeziora. Schowana jest w niszy powstałej w korzeniu pochylonej olchy (prawdopodobnie) i przykryta kawałkiem drewna. Pamiętaj o zamaskowaniu znaleziska. Miłych wrażen życzę.

Tote See (Tote Dziwna See, Blinde See) ist eine seltsame alte Dziwna Mündung in die Ostsee. Der See ist als ein Ergebnis Aktivitäten des Menschen entstanden. Am Ende des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts haben die Preußen die Dziwnowska Nehrung ein halb ausgegraben. Wodurch ist eine neue, breite Fahrrinne entstanden. Die alte Dziwna Mündung hat man mit den Wellen der Erde geschlossen. Als Folge der Tätigkeit ist der See entstanden.
Der Name der Seen ist sehr unglücklich, denn es gibt hier viele gesetzlich geschützte Tierarten und Pflanzen.
Zwischen der Ostsee und Blinde See ist ein schöner Pfad der ein Teil der Wanderroute (Symbol E9 – rot) ist.
Der Cache befindet sich zwischen der Wanderroute und dem Seeufer. Er ist in einer Nische, die durch die Wurzel schräger Erle (wahrscheinlich) entstanden ist, versteckt. Der Cache ist mit einem Stück Holz bedeckt. Bitte vergiss nicht, das was du gefunden hast, wieder zu markieren. |

Dead Lake (Dead Dziwna Lake, Blind Lake) it is the former estuary of Dziwna river to Baltic Sea. It is a result of human activity. Prussians cut The Dziwnów Spit at the end of the nineteenth century, creating a new wide fairway. The old mouth of Dziwna was closed by earth embankments and as a result the lake was created.
The name of lake is unfortunate, because there are many protected species of fauna and flora in this area.
The cache is located between the track (red) and the lake shore. It is hidden in a niche created by the root slanting alder (probably) and covered by a piece of wood.
